The Self Deception of the Moralist...Romans 2
Posted by admin / Under Paul J. TurekThe Self deception of Moralism Romans 2 Posted on July 28, 2010 by billrandles Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that...
Romney continues to lead in NH
Posted by admin / Under Paul J. TurekMitt Romney continues to look like an overwhelming early favorite for the 2012 New Hampshire primary but the most surprising thing about our newest set of numbers there may be that Ron Paul's in third place, outpolling Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin (albeit by small margins.) Romney leads the way with 31% to 14% for Newt Gingrich, 13% for Paul, 12% for Huckabee, 9% for Palin, 3% for Tim Pawlenty, and 1% for Mitch Daniels. Observations from the numbers: -Among voters who are more likely to support a candidate endorsed by Sarah Palin...Romney leads...with 29% to Palin's 21%. We've written...
Being Moral isn't the same as being Holy
Posted by admin / Under Paul J. Turek...Romans chapter one and chapter two are akin to Jesus story of the prodigal Son. The last part of Romans 1 addresses the ungodly, out of control prodigal, longing to eat pig slop and totally lost! But Romans 2 addresses the older brother, equally lost but unaware of the fact, because externally, hes all right! Making moral motions such as judgment of right, wrong, ugly and beautiful is not the same as being saved! Even moral and good people need to be saved. Paul says that you who judge the godless do the same- what could Paul mean by that?...
Moral isn't The Same As Holy...Romans 2
Posted by admin / Under Paul J. TurekMoral Isnt the Same as Holy Romans 2:1-11 Posted on July 27, 2010 by billrandles Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.(Romans 2:1) Being disgusted by the squalid effects of the morally ruined, spiritually bankrupt, reprobate world we have created for ourselves and our unfortunate children and grandchildren can be deceiving. It is normal and healthy to feel moral repugnance at the twisted, perverse ,obscene media culture of today, but that does not equate to being Righteous ourselves. That is the point...
Conway, Paul Spar On ADA
Posted by admin / Under Paul J. TurekBoth of Kentucky's major candidates for the U.S. Senate may have a little homework to do on the American With Disabilities Act. The ADA was signed into law July 26, 1990, by President George H.W. Bush. Monday, his son Jeb was in Louisville at a fundraiser for Rand Paul, the Republican nominee who's expressed reservations about the ADA. In Frankfort, a rally to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the law gave Democratic nominee Jack Conway an opportunity he couldn't resist. Conway, one of the last speakers, began to wrap up his remarks by noting, "And I know this is a...
